Yunnan. Tea, Tribes and Wild Encounters.

The ancient Tea Horse Route connected the old China with India and the rest of the world and brought tea and other goods to people in both directions. The many minorities kept their culture until todays modern days, not only as show cases for the tourists, but also as a deep rooted part of their daily life. In this southern part of Chinas Yunnan province you can find specific animals out in the nature which are unique in wild life of China. In the dense forests you can find wild elephants and the cute red panda bears. Starbucks China coffee comes from here out of the huge coffee plantages in the mountains as well as the famous Pu’er tea cultivated in the forest on several layers and on century-old trees. Here you will find Asias biggest night market right in the valley sourrounded by the mountains, and you can sleep in hotels with astonishing views you would not expect in this rural part of China.
