Yunnan. Tea, Tribes and Wild Encounters. Day 5 & 6

 Jingmaishan is one of the most famous tea regions in Yunnan and even in China. We can see how tea is planted in different levels of the forest. You will find some tea trees which are hundreds of years old. We will see, how tea is roasted according to every tea masters secret recipe. Here the tea culture is so deeply rooted, that the local people even built their own temple to worship the inventor of the tea ceremony thousands of years ago. 

We stay one day more here on the mountain for some walking around and exploring the different villages. The hotels is perfect for a day off as well. If it is the right time in the year we can help the tea farmers picking tea leaves or just relax with a cup of coffee or tea, enjoying the calmless of the nature and easy mountain living. There are also some very beautiful small villages we can explore and enjoy the hospitality of the locals.
